Barra Cruise-in Week 2025 - REMINDER
Barra Cruise-In Week is an annual event in Barra de Navidad that celebrates cruising in this beautiful location, while raising much-needed funds for local schools. If you haven't experienced Barra de Navidad or this event, you owe it to yourself to come down for a great week of fun and giving back. Cruising boats typically leave Banderas Bay around February 6 and many cruise in company for the trip down. Also, many drive down - its an easy drive south on Route 200 and takes around 4 hours. There are many excellent hotels in Barra, and cruisers who participate in the event get a discount in the marina.

24th Annual Great Chili Cookoff - A Big Success!
The 24th Great Annual Chili Cook-Off, held Sunday, December 15th, 2024, continued a beloved tradition of combining fun and fundraising for our community. This year’s event carried on the legacy that began over two decades ago in the VYC parking lot.
Members, local residents, and visitors gathered to sample 10 "regular" and 3 "vegetarian" chilis to help decide the "Most Popular Chili" winner along with a panel of three judges. The judges showed incredible stamina tasting all of the chilis to judge the other three categories.

Vallarta Yacht Club Beer Can Races Start November 20th!
Attention all fun-loving sailors! Our exciting Beer Can Races are back, kicking off on November 20th and happening every other week until January 29th. They will start again on February 19th and every other week, including a New Year's Day race!
