VYC Monthly Small Boat Regatta

Join the fun for VYC's monthly small boat regatta. These fun races are intended for Optimist, Hobie, Laser, C420 and sailboards. Bring your own boat or use one of the club's fleet. 

Volunteers for 2021 OPTINAM

The 2021 Optimist North American Championship is just around the corner and it is a great opportunity to get involved.  There will be 113 competitors with coaches and Team Leaders in attendance.  Strict protocols will apply during the event with masks and social distancing.  Contact Lana Kelsey at LLKELSEY735@gmail.com for more information.

Mexican National J70 Championship Regatta

The Mexican J70 National Championship will be held May 20-23, hosted by Vallarta Yacht Club, Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit. 

El Campeonato Nacional de México J70 se llevará a cabo del 20 al 23 de mayo, organizado por el Vallarta Yacht Club, Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit.

Join VYC members on club boats for a Sunday afternoon just enjoying the great sailing in Banderas Bay. VYC has C420s, Lasers, Optimists, Hobie cats and sailboards available for member use. Experienced sailors are welcomed to jump in and sail! Those who are just learning can partner with more experienced sailors. It's all about just having fun!

Optimist North American Championship

This is the forth time  that VYC has been host to the Optimist North American Championships. This year we will see 120 competitors from over 12 countries come to compete this important continental championship. We need volunteers! We have open volunteer positions onshore and on the water.
