Almost everyone who has ever sailed in Banderas Bay has come away saying "Wow, this has got to be one of the best places for sailboat racing in the world!". It is great fun for the smaller boats - the consistent winds and relatively calm seas provide for fast exciting racing throughout the high season.
To provide a venue to this small boat racing, Vallarta Yacht Club announces Demitasse - El Seis Domingos Regatta. The boats are small, the Races are short but the fun is huge! Like a Demitasse small boat sailing can be intense. There is a rush that the bigger boats cannot match.
Invited classes are Laser, C420, Hobie, J70, J24 and J80.
We can sail our boats any Sunday, but on these six Sundays we race. Then we tell lies and talk trash until the next one. If you liked the PanAms and Copa Mexico's WesMex you will love the Demitasse. If you aren't sailing but would like to VYC can help. If you want to be on the water you can be part of the Vallarta Yacht Club's world class and world renowned Race Management Team.
