Support the community work of the Bucerias Bilingual Community Center and enjoy fun, food, and mystery!
Murder Mystery Theater and Supper which will take place on Sunday 10th February 2013 at Los Arroyos Verdes Botanical Garden and Spa, plus enjoy the afternoon poolside before the show! Doors open at 2:00 pm, then Mystery and suspense start at 7.30pm, a gourmet supper is served at 5:00pm with live music. Get your crime-solving sleuths together for a table of ten, or come alone and make new friends. $500 pesos/person. For more information, click here.
ABC Festival - Library Fundraiser
The ABC Festival, Saturday 02 March, 2 – 6pm in Bucerias. This will be a major fun event and fundraiser – don’t miss it!
It’s all happening at the Explanada Corona, a huge arena opposite Colegio Bucerias & the Miguel Aleman school on Estaciones, Bucerias. Organised by members of the Children’s Library (“Biblioteca Rey Nayar”) and Amigos de Bucerias, all net proceeds are going to the Library. This is going to be “school sports day meets village fair” – with surprises. There will be 40 VW Classic Beetles on display, plus other classic cars, Harley Davidson motorbikes, and some caballeros with the original horsepower!
Live music from the fabulous group The Gecko Band (thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Luna Lounge). You won’t just be tapping your feet, you’ll be up and dancing on the large dancefloor!

The 2013 Altruism Festival is Sunday, May 5th at 6:00 pm, at the side gardens of the Marriott Casa Magna in Marina Vallarta. The Altruism Festival is the largest fundraising event in Vallarta, and is now is in its 9th year. Approximately 1200 people have attended in the past. All proceeds are pooled and the money is shared equally between 24 charities selected by lottery. Almost 50 restaurants participate, donating their food and time, which makes this such a popular gourmet ‘tasting’ event. Live music, dance, and sometimes fireworks make the evening special.

Since it is getting very warm they will have lots of fans for this class!
The $50 pesos includes demo/instruction, a list of the ingredients used in the class and a sample tasting. Wine, beer and water will be sold at the bar. The net profits from this will then be shared between Terecera Edad and the BBCC.
Just to remind you, they are at Calle 16 de Septiembre on the East side of the highway just 2 blocks up Matamoros (the Ice House street).

The Navy League is holding a benefit to raise funds to support the Toys for Tots program for Banderas Bay. It's a Golf Scramble and Gala Dinner Dance, and here is the info. You can buy tickets at the VYC.
Golf Scramble Date: December 7th at La Vista Golf Course, 11:00am Cost: $120.00 USD or $1,500.00 Pesos. Then the next day, put on your dancing shoes and come with an appetite to the Gala Dinner Dance. December 8th at Marriott Casa Magna. Cocktail Hour: 6:30, $80.00 USD or 1,000.00 Pesos.
