For over 20 years, the Vallarta Yacht Club’s Junior Sailing Program has been dedicated to coaching
and empowering the next generation of sailing enthusiasts and competitors in Banderas Bay.
The program’s mission is to introduce children and their families to the joy of sailing. With multilingual,
highly trained instructors, the program is managed by the Junior Sailing Committee and supported by
Vallarta Yacht Club staff, adult volunteer leaders, and Junior Sailing parents.
VYC hosts numerous national and international youth championship regattas and offers a
variety of individual and team training programs for children ages 7 to 18 years. We take pride in the
fact that graduates of our junior sailing program have gone on to compete at national, international,
and Olympic levels.
The program emphasizes inclusivity and community support, ensuring that every child interested in
sailing has the opportunity to participate.
