6:00 International Altruism Festival
Come and join us in a very tasty and pleasant way to help our community! This is an extraordinary gastronomic festival featuring food from some of the best restaurants of Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit. All this accompanied by music, dancing and entertainment by talented local musicians. Twenty local charitable organizations will have booths where you can find out what they do and how you can help them. Tickets are $400 pesos per person advance purchases, or $500 pesos at the door. Amigos de La Cruz (322-292-1107), Asoc. BdeB Cultural (322-103-5156), and Paraiso Felino (322-102-4092) are the charities in Nayarit. Call them to order your tickets in advance.
Your donation covers food, drinks, entertainment, and information about the charities. 100% of the monies collected from tickets and raffles will be distributed equally among the 20 charities in attendance.

10:30 FMV Cup: Standard Men's World Championship
This week begins with Registration and Measurement for the Laser Men's Standard Championship on Tuesday and Wednesday. This event again, will have Olympic Class athletes, with sights set on the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro this summer. There are 115 competitors from 42 countries. Among the entries are 12 Mexican Sailors including Yanic Gentry, member of Vallarta Yacht Club. And yes, that is Yanic in this picture at a previous championship.Registration is May 10 and 11. There is an opening ceremony on May 11 at 6pm in the Ampitheater at Paradise Village, and an awards ceremony at the Yacht Club on May 18.Racing starts May 12 and wraps up May 18.We can still use a few volunteers for the event.
