  • 2:00 -  3:00  PEACE, Manos de Amor - Taste of Bucerias

    A combined street festival, chalk art fair, and restaurant food tasting...sharing proceeds from of the events with charity. Here is all the info:
    Wednesday and Thursday Jan. 18 & 19 - artists are on their way from all over Mexico to participate in The Bucerias Chalk Walk at The Bucerias Street Festival, artisans are busy crafting to fill their tables for The Bucerias Craft Fair at The Bucerias Street Festival, and restaurants are finalizing their menus for The Taste of Riviera Nayarit at The Bucerias Street Festival

    Starting Wednesday there will be chalk artists starting their beautiful renderings directly on the street. This year's theme is The Culture of Mexico and Grupo Real del Mar is Sponsoring a purse of 10,000 pesos for the Winners. Also different Charities will have tables to inform you of their goals and sell products to support their causes. Be sure to buy your raffle ticket from Manos de Amor and be eligible to win 5,000, 3,000 or 2,000 pesos. Every penny from the sale of the raffle tickets goes to Manos de Amor. Also, over 20 crafts people selling everything under the sun. And how would you like to eat at restaurants like Cafe des Artists, Sanzibar, Karen's or Ginger for only 10, 20 or 30 pesos? Well that's all it will cost you at The Taste of Riviera Nayarit. Restaurants Manta, Ikuai, Bambuu, Pie in the Sky, Zibarita, Pacifica and Lazaro are also participating. 5 pesos of every Taste Ticket purchased goes to PEACE. With live music from Juan-Ted and the Rhythm Rooster on Wednesday the 18th, this is going to be THE SPOT this week......the Bucerias Street Festival takes place on Lazaro Cardenas between Galeana and Benito Juarez Wednesday and Thursday this week.  Here is the schedule:
     
    Chalk Artists start at 8am each morning.
    The Craft Faire starts at 10 am each morning.
    The Taste of Riviera Nayarit starts at 2pm.
    Everything will start shutting down around 6pm each day

  • 7:00 -  8:00  BBCC - History of Mexican Music

    The Bucerias Bilingual Community Center will host a presentation on the History of Mexican Music by Noble 'Horacio' Dunson.  Come early to enjoy the food and beverages from various vendors 6:00 - 6:30 pm.  Noble's presentation begins at 7:00 pm.  Call 329-298-3527 between 10:00am - 3:00pm for more information.  These events, classes and workshops at the BBCC all contribute to the continued support of this non-profit community center. Donations, fees, contributions by attendees and vendors, revenue-sharing, they all keep the BBCC going.
