Kelly Trainor has been the Consular Agent since November 1998. She is assited by a staff of three employees. , She will covering topics on Living in Mexico, Immigration issues, FM3 and various other topics of interest to those living in the area. The U.S. Consular Agency in Vallarta provides emergency services to American Citizens residing in or visiting the area around Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco and Nuevo Vallarta/Bahia de Banderas, Nayarit. The Consular Agency also performs notarials and receives applications for U.S. passports and consular reports of birth abroad (CRBAs). Passport and CRBA applications are forwarded to the U.S. Consulate General Guadalajara (the Consular Agency's supervisory post) for processing.
Hours of Operation
The U.S. Consular Agency in Vallarta is open to the public Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 12:30pm, except for U.S. and Mexican holidays. The Consular Agency is also closed on the third Wednesday of every month for in-service training. For after-hours emergencies involving life or limb, please call the Duty Officer at the U.S. Consulate General Guadalajara, at (52-33) 3268-2145.

Consular Services are provided at the International Friendship Club of Puerto Vallarta (centro) the last Thursday of each month. The I.F.C. is located at Parian del Puente where Calle Libertad & Miramar meet. Tel: (322) 222-5466.
