Once again I am amazed by the support and generosity of our club members! This summer, I shared the challenge we faced with a $45,000 shortfall due to the unexpected costs from our facility relocation. A month ago, I let you know that we were halfway to our goal. I’m thrilled to report that we’re now very close to reaching it! Thank you to all who have contributed! With just a bit more help, I’m confident we can cross the finish line.
I also want to highlight some of the creative ways our members have stepped up and shown their dedication to and care for our club:
Making donations over time: One member has generously committed to a monthly donation through 2025!
Members introducing friends to all the club has to offer. While this isn’t a direct donation, it generates crucial revenue and provides valuable exposure to potential new members.
Prepay: Some members have prepaid for their food and beverage allocations for the season and have generously offered to donate any unused portion.
IRA Distributions: We’ve even had IRA distributions made directly to the club, which allows you to avoid taxes on funds that may be a required distribution. Â
These are fantastic ideas—please keep them coming! We will carefully consider the benefits of new ideas while maintaining the integrity of our members’ club. The requirement to have the Picante Grill open to the public is helping us explore new ideas, ensuring our club remains vibrant and helps keep dues lower for everyone.
Another thing we are doing to ensure we do not get in this financial pickle in the future, is we have established a “Finance Oversight Committee” which will set goals, track results, and carefully monitor our revenue and expenses. Rest assured, we have a team of dedicated and knowledgeable individuals working on this.
