As a proud member of Vallarta Yacht Club (VYC), I'm thrilled to share that our beloved club is undergoing a significant makeover, with a striking new mural taking center stage. The renovation project, which began in May and is set to continue through October, aims to revitalize our club and enhance our members' experience.
At the heart of this transformation is a captivating mural by renowned artist Daniel Garra. This stunning piece of art draws inspiration from the Banderas Bay International Regatta, one of the oldest and most prestigious international sailing events on Mexico's west coast. This regatta, long sponsored by VYC, has been a cornerstone of our club's deep connection to the broader sailing community.
Garra's mural not only beautifies our club's and restaurant’s premises but also serves as a visual testament to VYC's rich history and its ongoing commitment to the sport of sailing. The artwork captures the spirit and energy of the regatta, bringing the excitement of open-water competition to our club’s interior.
The renovation project extends beyond this artistic addition, with improvements planned throughout the club’s and restaurant’s facilities. While the mural may be the most visually striking element, members and visitors can look forward to a range of enhancements designed to elevate the VYC experience.
As we progress towards the October completion, the Vallarta Yacht Club is poised to reaffirm its status as a key player in Mexico's sailing scene. The new mural and accompanying renovations not only honor our club's past but also signal our readiness for the future of sailing in Banderas Bay and beyond.
Stay tuned in the coming weeks for updates on the renovation project.
Warm Regards,
