The Pan Am Games wrapped up on Sunday with a great awards celebration on the Malecon. The Results for each event can be found in the box to the right of this article. A big warm thanks goes out to all the volunteers who worked so hard and sacrificed so much of their time and energy to pull this event together. Throughout the event there was a steady stream of complements from organizers, competitors and delegates expressing how welcoming VYC members are and how hard they all worked to make these games a success. 
As a rough estimate, VYC members contributed over 4,480 man hours to the success of the Pan American Games. Twenty three members volunteered the use of their boats during this event to be used as anything from Race Committee Boat, Markset to VIP Boat. And our staff and volunteers prepared over 1,475 Box Lunches! As a true measure of the success of the event, the club even ran out of cold beer one night!
Congratulations to all of you who helped make this event a success in the true spirit of Vallarta Yacht Club.
